Pricing

Sikhaku is free. Your teacher sets the price.

No monthly fee, no commission, no revenue share. Creators keep what their courses earn, and the only money a student ever pays is the price a creator chose.

  • 0% commission
  • No monthly bill
  • One ID, unlimited use

Every platform quotes a percentage. Ours is zero, so there is nothing to work out.

Here is the whole path anyway, in rupees

Who pays what

Nobody pays us to be here

Everyone gets the same product. The difference between these three is who you are, not what it costs.

You only pay a creator

The app and your account cost nothing. You pay only when you buy a course, and that money is the creator’s price — not ours.

  • One account across every creator on Sikhaku
  • Buy a course once and keep it
  • Download lessons and study offline
  • Free courses stay free, with no trial

Where the money goes

A $49 sale, broken down honestly

Most platforms show a percentage and leave you to work out what actually arrives. Here is the whole path, and it is a short one.

$49 reaches you

Paid out on schedule, with a statement, to your bank or your wallet.

$0 is our commission

We do not take a percentage of your sales, and we do not take a cut of tax either.

$0 is hosting and bandwidth

Video is the largest cost the platform carries. It is not passed on to you.

There is no feature paywall

We could not hold DRM or analytics back to push you to a higher plan even if we wanted to, because there is no higher plan. The product is the product.

No caps

Unlimited video, unlimited courses

No storage cap, no bandwidth bill, no per-view charge and no limit on how many courses you publish. Video hosting is the biggest cost we carry, and it is included.

DRM and watermarking

Included from the first course, never sold as an upgrade.

Your own storefront

A branded page and a handle you can put in your bio.

Full analytics

Per-lesson drop-off and completion, for every creator.

Coupons and referrals

Run your own promotions on your own terms.

What you can see

Analytics are not a premium add-on

Knowing which lesson loses half the class is the most valuable thing this platform gives you, so it is not something we would put behind a tier — and there is no tier to put it behind.

Revenue and refunds

By course, by coupon, by period.

Per-lesson drop-off

Things we will not do

Merchant of record

We handle the payment, the invoice and the tax so you do not have to.

Append-only ledger

Idempotent payments

Statutory, and it protects you as much as us.

Pricing questions

The things people check twice

Is Sikhaku really free?

Yes. There is no monthly fee, no commission on sales, no revenue share and no charge per student. Creators keep what their courses earn, and students pay nothing to use the platform itself.

Then what do students pay for?

Only the courses they choose to buy, at whatever price the creator set. That money is the creator’s. Plenty of courses are free, and a free course has no trial period and no upsell attached to it.

How does Sikhaku make money?

Right now it does not. Sikhaku is funded by Lacspace while we grow the platform, because a marketplace is worth nothing without creators and students on it. If that ever changes we will say so clearly and in advance, and we will not apply it retroactively to sales already made.

Are there hidden fees?

No. There is no payment gateway surcharge, no video hosting bill, no bandwidth charge, no storage cap and no per-student cost. If a line item ever appears, it will not have appeared quietly.

Why is there no app store commission?

Because students buy on the web rather than inside the app. Apple and Google charge roughly 30% on in-app digital purchases, and that cost would have to come from somewhere — keeping checkout on the web is part of how the platform stays free.

When do I get paid?

On a regular payout run, once your KYC is verified and your balance is above the minimum. Every payout comes with a statement, and your ledger is visible in the dashboard at all times.

Who pays for refunds?

The sale reverses in full. If you had already been paid out, the amount carries into your next payout run rather than becoming a debt. There is no fee for us to keep, so nothing is held back.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes, entirely. You choose the price, any coupons, and whether a course is free. We do not run platform-wide discounts on your work without asking you first.

Free to teach, while we are onboarding by hand

No commission, no monthly bill, and onboarding help from a person. We keep the cohort small on purpose.
