Creators deserve better than a Drive link

Thousands of talented people here already teach online. They do it through Facebook groups, QR codes and shared folders, because nobody built them anything better. So we are.

The problem

Selling a course here is harder than making one

We kept meeting creators with real expertise and a real audience who had given up on selling courses — not because nobody wanted to buy, but because the mechanics defeated them.

Payments are manual

A QR code, a screenshot, and someone checking transfers by hand at midnight.

Delivery leaks

A Drive link gets forwarded once and the course is worthless.

Nobody knows what works

No idea who finished, who dropped out, or why anyone asked for a refund.

What we believe

The principles this is built on

These are not slogans. Each one has changed a decision we made about the product.

Where we are today

Sikhaku has not launched. We would rather say that plainly than dress up numbers.

The bet

Marketplace, not white-label

We could have sold each creator their own app. We chose one shared platform instead — and that choice comes with an obligation we take seriously.

Students belong to Sikhaku

One account across every creator. That is what makes discovery and a single library possible.

So we have to earn it

Creators give up owning the account. In exchange they get a storefront that looks like theirs, followers they can reach, and terms that favour them.

And we hold the line

No competing course on a creator’s pages. Ever. That rule is why the model is fair rather than extractive.

How we are launching

Narrow and deep, not broad and empty

A marketplace with four courses is not a marketplace. So we are starting small on purpose.

1

Onboard by hand

The founding cohort gets a real person helping structure and price their course.

2

Launch one subject well

Enough depth in one area that it is genuinely worth opening the app.

3

Prove completion

We care more about students finishing courses than about signup numbers.

4

Then widen

More subjects, more languages, and creators publishing from anywhere their audience is.

Part of Lacspace

Not our first product

Lacspace has been building and running software since 2021 across healthcare, commerce, hospitality and business operations.

Sikhaku

This one. The online course platform is missing — and the first Lacspace product built for creators rather than businesses.

Grocista

A food delivery platform built for local operators.

CareSewa

Healthcare booking, records and pharmacy stock in one place.

ScanSewa

Sales analytics and growth prediction for small businesses.

SparkHue

A marketplace connecting artisans and entrepreneurs to a wider market.

POS Master

CRM, inventory and billing for multi-brand operations.

The team

Small, and close to the problem

We talk to creators every week, wherever they are. If you are building a course, we probably want to hear from you.

PR

Product

Design and research

Sits with creators while they build their first course and rewrites the dashboard around what actually confuses them.

EN

Engineering

Platform and apps

Builds the parts nobody sees: tenant isolation, the money ledger, video delivery and the mobile app.

CS

Creator success

Onboarding and support

The person who answers when a creator has a question, and who helps price the first course.

A real company

Part of Lacspace, building software since 2021 — not an anonymous storefront.

Backed by Lacspace

Five years of shipped products behind this one.

Creator-first terms

Founding creators keep their terms permanently.

Open about stage

We are pre-launch and we say so, everywhere on this site.

About

Questions about us

Who is behind Sikhaku?

Sikhaku is built by Lacspace, a software company that has been shipping products since 2021. Sikhaku is our answer to a problem we kept watching creators run into, wherever they were teaching from.

Why start in Asia?

Because it is where we are, where the founding creators are, and where the gap is widest. Most creators here still sell through chat messages and shared folders. Starting where we can sit down with people beats starting where we would be guessing — but nothing about the platform is limited to one region, and a creator anywhere can publish on it.

What does "Sikhaku" mean?

It comes from sikh — to learn. There is a word, padhaku, for someone who reads and studies far too much; Sikhaku is the same idea built on learning rather than reading. It names the person, not the product.

Are you hiring?

Occasionally, and always for people who have shipped something. Email us and tell us what you have built rather than sending a CV.
